Once upon a time we made a quickass short for fun called Ginger In The Dark. Then, we had a few more free days to make a sequel! And this is it. Don't expect much - it's just for fun! [img]biggrin.gif[/img] Some cheap effects, cheap sound effects too [img]tongue.gif[/img] cheap script (well, it was made up) - still, a short none the less. Heh [img]smile.gif[/img]

Had to watch most of it with the sound down,
but think I got the jist.
Looks great to me!
Loads of quirky energy (something a little bit too serious about it though?)
Some really nice (in camera?) effects and actor/camera choreography (I thought).

Im suprised you made this up as you went along, there is something quite sophisticated about it, for such a daft and bizarre story.

Finally got round to watching it yesterday.
I enjoyed it... couldn't stop myself laughing when the Thomas character appeared - reminded me of Mickey from League of Gents... was just waiting for him to say "but Pauline I want a fire truck!"

Thought the location was excellent... good find [img]graemlins/thumbs_up.gif[/img]

eddie: Hehe yeah - there's always a kind of serious tone, but its up to you whether you want to laugh or not! The idea is obviously bizarre, as you say, the storyline & what happens is daft - I think the seriousness of the characters is just for substance. Afterall, they're doing a job! This movie has made people laugh and also shocked people in certain places, and that to me is a superb reaction

Thanks for your views about the camerawork too! We didn't bother with the track dolley or crane in this one (as lovely as it would have been) because I didn't have a car to transport it all about, and didn't really have the time to organise other drivers - and couldn't afford to pay them...the usual! :P

So I'm glad what we did with the camera & tripod still thrilled you a bit! I understand how shoddy hand-held can look sometime but in these circumstances it seemed fine. And I thought the handheld element to the first movie gave it a nice kind of feeling, too.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">That's nice, thanks! I'm not so sure what makes it so sophisitacted - but it could be the time we spent on it. Even though we only shot for about 3 or 4 days, this was over a period of 4 or 5 weeks, so we've had time to think things through a little more than the first. But its still very fly on the wall!

Vertino - thanks man! Glad you like the Thomas character, the actor is just as weird! :P (sorry Charlie! LOL) His nature is very League like!!! He made his character up himself.

Pleased you liked the location too! Almost every day I see somewhere new and just want to film a movie in it/at it - and this place was one of them. It was a lucky local find! We had a fair share of people coming up to us!

You may remember the part where Fred seemingly stabs Slater in the foot with a fork and then punches him in the face with it - well that took about 30 takes and halfway through someone came round asking what all the screaming was about :P

Supposedly the lady who owns the barn also drove past. She said, "It's always nice to know whats going on at your own barn" - lol! She was directed to the Screen 7 website to check out the movie! She might call the police once she's seen it! :P

As for Ginger 3 - the idea is set, but whether it'll actually happen is anymans guess. Too many other important films I need to make before that one! :P
